Now I’m developing my skills through hands-on labs and pet projects and looking for an internship or junior DevOps role where I can contribute to infrastructure and automation and learn from more experienced engineers.

The main technologies and areas I work with as a junior DevOps engineer.
  • Linux & Networking
    Daily work in the Linux terminal, basic system administration, and core networking concepts
    (TCP/IP, ports, DNS, firewalls).
  • Docker & Containers
    Building Docker images, writing Dockerfiles, using Docker Сompose, and running multi-container development environments.
  • Scripting & Automation
    Writing Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and learning Python to build small tools for developers
    and Ops.
  • Git & Collaboration
    Git workflows with branches and pull requests, working with GitHub and GitLab, and collaborating on code in small teams.
  • Terraform & AWS
    Working with core AWS services (such as EC2, VPC, S3) and defining infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • CI/CD Pipelines
    Creating simple CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to build, test, and deploy applications automatically.

Bachelor of Computer Science, TSI
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) in Riga. The program covered core areas of computer science and engineering and gave me a solid understanding of how software and systems are designed, built and operated.

This background provides a strong foundation for my current focus on DevOps and infrastructure engineering.
